Two sisters and their mother, long-serving Sabbath School superintendents and teachers, have written this book on Sabbath School from personal experience for these critical times. They grew up in Sabbath School and gained first-hand experience of the barriers built by churches around the teen and young adult classes, and witnessed the negative effect it had on their peers while teenagers. Their book gives real insight into why youth leave the church and how to win them back – or, better yet, deter them from leaving in the first place – and how to re- energise adult Sabbath School and increase membership and participation. They also speak from their decades of service as third-generation leaders in Sabbath School ministry, and from a desire to revitalise God’s people to study more to prepare for His soon return. The Percy family has served in the Sabbath School ministry for about 100 years, as Sabbath School superintendents in the Inter-American Division, North American Division, and Trans-European Division. As fourth-generation Adventists, the sisters have given decades-long service to Sabbath School, including as children’s and youth Sabbath School superintendent, youth Sabbath School teacher, general Sabbath School superintendent and adult Sabbath School teacher. Their mother also served for more than 30 years, and their grandmother for 40 years, as superintendent.
