I like to relate it to what I imagine the process must be like for joining a sports team, such as a football (soccer) team. A lot of people dream of growing up to play on a football team. In order to become a football player, though, there are a lot of lessons that you will have to learn. If you want to become a Christian, there are a lot of lessons about Jesus that you will have to learn.So, that is what this book, On the field for Jesus, has been created for, to show new Christians—prospective members of Jesus’s Team—just what it means to “play on Jesus’s Team”. As you read this book, you will learn about how to become a good footballer and a good member of Jesus’s Team. Plus, it is hoped that this book will also help encourage you to put those lessons into practice so that you can grow as an athlete and as a Christian.Now the season is just about to start, and Jesus’s Team could use a few new players.
