The tablet used as a single treatment treats tapeworm, hookworm and roundworm infections in kittens and cats. Used every 3 months, Drontal not only protects your cat from worms, it also helps protect the whole family from the harmful effects of contracting worms from your cat. Gentle and effective, Drontal is safe to use in kittens from 6 weeks of age and during pregnancy and lactation. Working method Drontal tablets consist of praziquantel, febantel and pyrantel embonate as the active ingredients. All of them have anthelmintic properties that kill different intestinal parasites. Praziquantel disintegrates the worm by damaging its skin internally. Pyrantel pamoate causes paralysis to the worm. This forces the worm to lose grip on the intestinal walls of the cat. The worms are removed naturally from the pet’s system as the worms are disintegrated and detached from the treated cat’s intestinal walls. Safe for cats, Drontal can be combined with flea, tick and heartworm control products. Drontal tablets are available in two packs – Drontal for cats upto 4 kg and Drontal for large cats above 4 kg.
